by a total of 175 patients mainly from Begumpur,
and Khirki Gaon. Out of a total of 475 patients,
58 were diagnosed to have cataract and most of
them needed to undergo surgery.
The surgeries were conducted
free of cost at the Banarasi Das Chandiwala Eye
Institute, Kalkaji. Out of the remaining number,
135 patients were diagnosed with vision problems
like near-sightedness and far-sightedness and
they all were provided with free spectacles.
At the end of the camp, a female
patient aged 40 said “ Such camps are very
beneficial and should be conducted more frequently”.
Another male patient said “
I am really thankful because now my eye problem
is detected and it will be cured”. The patients
